The debut bottling of Baker Lane Colors Pinot Noir is an appealingly structured wine that showcases the depth of fruit and flavor that our moderate growing zone avails. Our winemaking approach with this fruit included allowing it an extra 7 months to develop in barrel, helping it broaden on the palate and adding length to its strawberry nuanced fruit. The wine was aged in a combination of 400 L Kadar puncheons and Remond barriques (35% of which were new) and was bottled in March of 2015.
We’re excited to have this new niche in our Pinot Noir offerings, i.e. a finely crafted wine that expresses the energetic flavors of our clime yet which comes to our customers as a most affordable and distinctive expression of the Sonoma Coast appellation.
